I do not understand the obsession with Owl City. Every other day, I see a request on yousendit_ for Owl City. I can't count how many of my friends are fans on Facebook. I'll admit to liking a few songs. "Hello Seattle" made me cry the first time I heard it, beautiful song.

But my GOD. The music is so sugary-sweet, it gives me a toothache! It all sounds the same. UGH. Just leave me with my Hellogoodbye.

Or maybe I just don't like Owl City because it's a one-man band and I want to say "them" but I get frustrated because it's not accurate. Either way. Not a fan. X(

Pisces Horoscope for November 2009

Do you feel like celebrating? You might, and if you do, you should! Saturn, the planet that tests us and presents challenges, has opposed your Sun for two years, but on October 29, Saturn finally moved out of Virgo, the place that has been so difficult for you. The peacefulness you will soon feel will be sweet indeed. On the horoscope wheel, Virgo is found six months away from Pisces, and therefore is the sign found farthest from your Sun. Virgo represents your "winter" because planets in Virgo are as distant as can be from your Pisces sign, in a place you can't feel their warmth.

Dear Pisces, you have journeyed through dark and frozen tundra, but now, as November begins, you will start to see the first pink rays of dawn. A close relationship will improve, and your health will too, and soon you will feel your old energy and optimism return. You won't feel as isolated as you may have felt in the past, and problems that weighed heavily on your shoulders will begin to lift.

While it is true that Saturn will be back to Virgo for a brief 14-week stay from April 7 to July 21, 2010, that visit from Saturn will not be as harsh as earlier visits. The return of Saturn to Virgo will only directly affect a small portion of Pisces, those born from March 17 to 20. The reason those Pisces will get one more turn at Saturn is that he had not finished up his tour of duty with those Pisces. I can explain. If you are a late-born Pisces, don't be blue. You are fortunate that you will have a rest until April - by the time he is back, you'll be better equipped to deal with any assignment he tosses your way. The best part of all this is that when Saturn finally leaves Virgo he will not be back until 2036. Wow!

What made this tour of Saturn so difficult is that Uranus in Pisces was hitting Saturn in Virgo directly, so you were feeling the brunt not only of Saturn, but Uranus, too. If you felt that many elements of your life were being stripped away, it was because the universe was (and still is) intent on giving you something infinitely better. In many ways 2009 was about endings. If this sounds ominous, it shouldn't.

Come January 17, Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will enter Pisces for the first time since 1998 - 1999 and crown you the most favored sign of 2010. Soon the trials and tribulations you endured will become a distant memory. Those challenges only made you stronger and wiser. You are about to enter your wonder year, filled with fresh starts. Soon you will be offered the kinds of opportunities you used to only dream about.

Trust that the universe loves you and has not forgotten you. In January you will become the zodiac's most favorite child! There is a beautiful symmetry in the universe, dear Pisces, and for all the hardships you may have suffered, you will now experience blessings.

As you await Jupiter's arrival, you have one sensational event to look forward to - the move of Neptune to direct motion on November 4. Since May 29 of this year your ruling planet, Neptune has been retrograde and of little help to you. If you felt it was hard to make substantial progress over the summer months, you know why. Now you will see unmistakable signs that the tide is about to turn in your favor. When a big planet like Neptune changes direction, there are always unmistakable signs that things are looking up if you watch the three days plus or minus November 4.

At almost the same time, an accent on your ability to communicate clearly will be seen at the friendly full moon, November 2, with an area of influence of plus or minus four days. You may give a speech, put the finishing touches on a manuscript or written presentation, or send out an important letter. You may start a self-promotion or advertising campaign, see your book get published, or unveil your own blog or website. A TV producer may call you for a guest appearance, or you may get a plum voiceover assignment. You may decide to get a logo designed for your business or initiate a publicity or advertising campaign. It looks like you'll be in the spotlight during November's first week, so enjoy the fuss!

A short trip or two may be on your agenda to a city nearby as well in November's first week - if so, it looks as though you'd be going for business. With Venus in your eighth house of performance-based compensation (such as commission), you will do well financially and meet all your goals. If you were born within five days of March 2, you will feel the upbeat effects of this November 2 full moon in a very noticeable way.

With Mars in your sixth house, you will have lots of assignments to do now and through the first five months of 2010. You would be wise to build in a few days of rest, lest you take on too much and become exhausted by all the projects you have to do. When a Pisces works, you bond so closely with your project that you lose track of time and space. You may easily miss meals, sleep, and exercise, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to set the alarm on your cell phone to remind yourself to take little breaks.

When you finish one project, instead of diving directly into the next, arrange for a little treat - dinner with friends, a massage, or a night at the museum. Doing something away from your computer would be good for you. A global recession may be raging, but you will have no problem finding work, for you will have Mars helping you every inch of the way. It will feel great to have your services so prized in the marketplace! This trend will last until June 7 - a long time - the reason I feel you should pace yourself.

You seem to be thinking quite a bit about becoming healthy and fit, and with Mars in your sixth house, this would be the perfect time to initiate a fitness routine that you like so much you'll follow it consistently in months and years to come. To get started, you may want to work out under the supervision of a coach, trainer, or gym teacher. Mars in Leo will make you energetic and enthusiastic, but just be sure you don't overdo. As long as you follow sensible advice, you can make quite a bit of progress between now and early June.

You may want to add weight lifting to part of your program. Mars rules iron, so you could see good results with weights, if done properly. (And no, women don't get "overbuilt" by using weights. Weight lifting is great way to build strong bones.) If you have a dog, include him in your routine, too - you both can run together, for example, and you'll both feel better for it!

It is nearly year-end, and you may also want to schedule various medical checkups, such as to get a mammogram, colonoscopy, or blood tests done. Perhaps you have already used up your deductible on your health care plan and now can have tests done that won't cost you a cent. This would be a good time to schedule your annual eye exam and semi-annual dental cleaning. With Mars in your sixth house, you seem really eager to take good care of yourself, so go with that feeling! As mentioned, you will be working hard, so it will be even more important to be sure you continue to keep yourself in top condition.

Now let's turn to another important trend that will be brought to you as a result of the new moon, November 16. Foreign interests will perk up at that time, and you may even hear that you will soon take an exciting trip to a foreign country. Alternatively, you may start to work with people in an import-export situation or host visitors to your city from overseas. International influences will be very strong throughout the second half of November, so you may see your work translated into other languages or join a foreign publication as a contributing editor. With Uranus so beautifully oriented toward that new moon, offers are likely to come up suddenly.

Mercury will be retrograde next month from December 26 to January 16, so if you plan to buy things for yourself or holiday gifts for friends and family, do so now, while your picture is bright. You will begin to see things slow down as soon as December 9. This year you would be wise to get your holiday shopping done in November.

Romantically, once you get to January 17, 2010, you will enter into the very best period in your lifetime for finding true love, for that is when you will have Jupiter in Pisces. If you are already attached, love will only grow bigger. This is a huge trend, one you will notice, for sure!

In the meantime, this month, Venus will be in Scorpio from November 7 to December 2, a perfect place for this, the love planet, to be. Venus will help you attract love if you are single, and bring love closer if attached. Venus will make November the right time to see about freshening up your look, for you'd love the changes you make.

A really terrific weekend coming up is likely to be November 14-15 when the Sun in Scorpio and Uranus in Pisces is likely to make this a winner on so many counts. Things will go really well, and if you need to travel over this weekend, events will just click perfectly into place.

One of my favorite days for you for romance will be Wednesday, November 25, when Venus will send Uranus a dazzling beam. No matter what you expect on this day, it's sure to be better. If you plan to travel with your one-and-only, you will have lots of fun. If you don't have anyone in your life, you may strike up a conversation with someone you will want to see again. Mercury will be quite busy meeting and greeting other planets in the friendliest way that week, indicating that your family will be quite supportive of you in late November. Need to introduce the clan to your new partner? Go ahead - conversation will be bubbly.

In the United States the following day is Thanksgiving, and so many people will be traveling - perhaps that's you. No matter where in the world you may live, November 25 and 26 should be special for love and for fun with family members.

The only tough day will be November 30 - not great for travel, family relationships, or shopping, and not good for signing a contract either.

Summary

As the month begins, it appears you will bring a speaking or writing project to fruition at the full moon in Taurus on November 2. You may be giving a speech, taking a short trip, or finishing a website to launch. Some sort of communications project is reaching an end point - and it will make you proud. This full moon is in conversation with Pluto, so you will find you feel pride about what you accomplished and a friend may figure very prominently in your success - he or she may help you in a very positive way. A certain community appears to be involved with what you are doing too, and if so, you will be very effective in reaching them.

Neptune, your ruler, will go direct on November 4, a major development for you, Pisces, for it means that the hard work you've done will finally begin to take root and show progress. You will notice how much faster your plans shape up, and you'll find this gratifying - possibly miraculous! Neptune won't go retrograde again until May 31, 2010, so you will have a clear road ahead.

Foreign talks and plans will begin to gain in importance after the new moon November 16. You may not even know you are about to take a trip in late November, for due to this moon's nod to Uranus, planet of spontaneity, your opportunity will arise rapidly.

With Mars in Leo, you will be working very hard these days, and you will need pampering now and then. You are not one to think about yourself first, but these days, with pressures strong, you would be wise to pace yourself. The pace will be fast until December 21 when you will see things start to go at slower speed from then until March 10. Take good care of yourself so that you don't lower your resistance - you will need your strength to keep up with the exciting assignments coming your way! A fitness program started now would show terrific results, especially if you include weight training (Mars rules iron)!

Romantically, with Venus in fellow water sign Scorpio, your charm will be quite divine. If you travel with your sweetheart or spouse, so much the better! If single you may meet someone on a long flight, so here is fair warning to look your best!

A communications project will be wrapped up at the full moon, November 2 plus four days. You may also travel to a nearby town on this date.

International projects and travel will grow in importance after the appearance of the new moon, November 16.

Once Neptune moves direct on November 4, you will see that you'll progress more rapidly and find you are less likely to feel mired in frustrating conditions.

A desire to get fit and toned may overtake you this month. Give in to it! Start November 16 or within a few days after this date for best results. With Mars in Leo, you'll go after your goal with earnest. Do so carefully, so you don't overdo, but be confident that this time you will get enviable results.

Beatles Porn Titles

Ah, the Beatles. Who doesn't love the Beatles, the greatest band of all time.

I have too much free time on my hands. We all know that pornographic film titles often have similarities to well known movies or songs. A SNL sketch once explored the subject. It centered around Adrian Brody, who was unable to come up with an obvious parody title for his film, "The Pianist."

Anyway, a while back, I discovered that the immortal Ron Jeremy once starred in a film called "Sgt. Peckers Lonely Hearts Club Gang Bang" (IMDB listing). That got me to thinking, what other Beatles song titles could be turned into porno films? With a little help from my friends, I came up with some possibilities. Note: Some of these may actually exist, I didn't really check or care.

FANTABULOUS show tonight!

I went to see The Grates tonight at the Rickshaw Stop, they were opening for Choir of Young Believers and Those Darlins. Which I honestly can't believe. They should be headlining a giant fucking tour. They're *that* awesome. And that's what I thought before I went to the show. *WHOO!* Of course, I was there alone... >.> No one ever goes to shows with me. Fucking losers. Anyway.

Oh. My. God. The frontwoman, Patience, is possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen on two legs. No joke. Oh my God. Not only is she pretty and spunky and eccentric, the woman has energy like NONE other. Holy crap. She was all over the stage and the floor. For one of the songs, she brought the mic stand down on the floor and she had one of those ribbon dancer things. And during the bridge, she danced with it all around. Magical. Also, she was flirting with me *hardcore*. Well, okay, she flirted with everyone, but she really focused on me. Not being egotistical, it's a fact. She focused on me because I was one of the ones dancing really hard and sang along to most of the songs (I don't have the new album and it's killing me). She eye-flirted with me, then on one of the last songs (which happened to be my favorite song, incidentally), she got down and started hugging me and dancing with me and I sang into the mic with her. *dies* After the show, she hugged me again and she's like, "You knew all the words to the songs! I was so happy!" Me: *madly blushing* I want to be her groupie. I want to be there.

Well, after their set, I met this nice couple by the name of Annie and Pius (he's German and I think her name was Annie... Something along those lines). They were really sweet and stoned out of their minds, lol. Annie was thanking me for being the other person who danced, and we talked about how much we loved the Grates and what a shame it was that more people don't know them. They actually gave me a ride home, which was very nice.

The other two bands were pretty good. The Choir of Young Believers was a good band, Danish, but... Just not a band I want to see live. Especially not in conjunction with the other two performers. Very pretty music though. Very visceral. The third band, Those Darlins, were actually from Tennessee, and they were awesome rockabilly. SO much fun. It reminded me a lot of my roots, yanno, just like, "If things had turned out differently, I might have been hearing this every day." (Such an optimist, lol.) There are so few shows that encourage dancing... I mean, there's either not enough room, it's not dancing music or everyone's too "cool" to dance (I saw your mom drive you there!). But at this show, we all danced! And we danced and danced and danced! It was awesome! I just felt like I could truly embrace the music. Everyone else might have been drunk, but I was only high on the music. <3

P.S. There was this girl with her girlfriend in front of me during Those Darlins who looked just like Ann-Elise. I couldn't stop staring at her, it was so disconcerting. I hope she was a vision of the future.

If you guys don't know the story of how I got into the Beatles, it's simple. In April of 2007, I had a dream about John Lennon and Paul McCartney. And right now, I'm REALLY hopped up on energy drinks, so I'm going through all of the Beatles related events in April on historyorb.com to try and figure this out. Pisces Forecast for October 2009

You have just come though a very challenging month, and October will offer soothing relief. September's storms were very intense for some, particularly for those Pisces born late in the sign, from, say, March 12 to 20, for you felt September's stresses and strains most. No matter, the good news is that this month, on October 29, Saturn will move out of Virgo, a very difficult place for you to host this taskmaster planet. You have struggled with this aspect since September 2007. Indeed, Saturn opposition the Sun is the single hardest aspect possible, and you have coped directly with this at some point over the past two years.

We all feel Saturn most directly when Saturn aims directly at our Sun, plus or minus five degrees. For example, if you were born near February 20, you felt Saturn the most in February 2008, when not only was Saturn being his most demanding, but an angry total lunar eclipse was taunting you, too. If you were born on March 7, then October 2008 through April 2009 was the most difficult (with March perhaps the hardest).

If you were born later, near March 15-20, then last month likely turned out to be challenging. All of astrology is based on mathematics - there is no "psychic" ability involved here. Everyone has good days, and everyone has hard days. The universe is remarkably even-handed in the trials and tribulations it sets up, but also in regard to rewards and joyous moments.

Saturn in Virgo brought difficulties on several fronts. Because Saturn was based on a key, north-south-east-west point of the horoscope, you felt his influence more than if he were elsewhere in your chart. Planets on angles act almost like wild horses - they trumpet their appearances in a very powerful way. You may have felt Saturn's presence on the cusp of a key angle, the seventh house of serious committed relationships, either personal or business in nature.

You may have had to leave a marriage, break up a business partnership, or leave an agent, as a few examples. Or, if you trusted an investor, you may have been let down at the last minute when the money was not delivered. If others were not living up to their promises, it was to cause vast problems in your life, and you had to face what was happening squarely and make a plan, most likely to leave.

Part of Saturn's lesson may have been to assess realistically the promises others made for you. On the flip side, you were also learning that you, too, had to fulfill promises to others, even if you had not thought too deeply about those promises while you were making them. If coupling up has its privileges, it also had its obligations.

Saturn opposed to one's natal Sun, as you have now, could have been detrimental to your health and that would be true no matter what your age, even if you are young. If there were a condition you have ignored or cheated on, Saturn would pull you back on track. Saturn demands adherence to rules. This is considered a very draining aspect, and if any part of you had a weak link, you know about it now, for Saturn was bent on showing it to you so you can get help and feel better. When Saturn moves off this position this month, you can look forward to much better health in the future.

It is true that Saturn is due back to Virgo for a short, 14-week stint when it retrogrades backward from April 7 to July 21. Everyone gets about nine months of direct one-on-one tutoring from Saturn, but those born March 17 to 21 had only about six months of Saturn's time. He is simply coming back to finish up his lesson plan.

After that, Saturn will be gone for many decades, until October 2036. Saturn's visits get increasingly easier as we age, for presumably we have learned a great deal on the first and second visits. Saturn takes 29 years to circle the Sun, so his visits are thankfully rare. You will never have an experience like you had from September 2007 to the present because you also had Uranus in Pisces opposed to Saturn in Virgo, a combination that set up a severe set of tests for you. The future ones will be so easy you may not even notice them.

Saturn has to move into a new house of the horoscope, and in your case will go into your eighth house of other people's money. This is the area where we pay back others according to a previously made obligation, such as when we send a check to our credit card company or to pay our mortgage, or when we pay an ex-spouse for child support.
